Karol is a visual alchemist born among the coffee mountains of Colombia, in South America. Turning Jersey girl by age 12, she grew up with Atlantic City, New Jersey as her playground.

Her love for politics, entrepreneur spirit and a calling to help shape the world into a better place, 18-year-old Escobar moved to Washington, DC where she attended The Catholic University of America - for a B.S in Political Science & Journalism, where she experienced an about-face when she found herself in the studio’s of WHUT-TV.

It was then, that she knew, without doubt, that her gifts and passions were in TV & Film Production and moved on to further her studies at The Art Institute of Philadelphia, B.F.A for Digital Film Making & TV Production. 

Here she developed her relationship to the arts – in writing, production, film and photography.

Karol loves being able to be part of a team and leading them into capturing stories from around the globe.

Having started as a Production Assistant and working her way up to Director/Producer, gave her a deep understanding of production. Traveling the world from Los Angeles to The Sahara covering everything from long/short format, data driven advertising, creative content, music videos, Live broadcast with ESPN to Network Cable Series for Discovery, Bravo, MTV, Viceland & producing cutting edge digital content for VICE.

Ranging from minimal crews in harsh locations to large studio shoots.

Karol has as a deep passion for Mother Earth & the current environmental crisis.
